Old Town Character, Modern Code
Clifton's historic homes have foundations that predate the egress rule by a century — stone, early block, and hand-laid walls that need a careful eye before anyone cuts. We assess the wall condition first and tell you honestly what it will take; some historic walls need a structural look before the saw comes out. Newer homes on Clifton's rural lots are standard work, but the old ones get extra respect.
Space Is Never the Problem
Clifton lots are generous, so well placement is wide open — full projection, proper grading, drainage daylighted to the property's natural fall. When the land gives you room, use it: a well built with space around it is a well that never gives you trouble.
Septic and Well Heads
One Clifton-specific note: many properties are on septic and well water. We locate the septic field and the well head before we dig — the egress well does not go on top of either. Mention them on the free visit and we will plan around them. Call (301) 679-9193 for a free written estimate in Clifton.
